“tapas” webcomic typesetting
As Localization Visual Arts Lead for Tapas Entertainment Dec 2021 - June 2023, I managed creative direction for typographic look and spearheaded localization production of 700+ webcomic titles from 40+ freelance typesetters, localized from Korean, Chinese, and English, into English, Korean, and Spanish. Constructed design resources and assets for 6+ different genres of stories to increase efficiency in production. As a typesetter, I successfully typeset dialogue and sound effects for 40+ webcomic series, ensuring accuracy, consistency, and high-quality design. Typesetting involves repainting of background signage, photoshopping out logos, and general layout of text.

Repainting
In instances where text and artwork was merged in the webcomic, I used my Photoshop skills to repaint the original text out of the background art. Using a mix of cloning, content aware fill, texture repainting, and occasional illustration, I removed the KR and CN characters and chose an English font replacement suitable for the context.
